Joseph Nicéphore
Niépce is known for producing the world first photograph. He also created the
worlds first internal combustion engine and received patent for it. He is known
for the photo called “The view from the Window at Les Gras”. This was the first natural photograph
captured. It was taken at Les Gras in 1826. The photo had an 8 hour exposure. It
is now kept at the University of Texas at Austin.
